The guy in the convertible when I was 10 who asked for directions first; the catechism class dad who used a big white handkerchief; the school lifeguard who said take it as a compliment; the rugby captain who later swore he was drunk cause he would never; his college friend who said he heard I like to watch; the man on the train who waited till it was only me and him; and I especially don’t mention my father-in-law napping in the playroom because maybe he was making himself more comfortable and anyway he’s dead now, or as good as.
