'First Meeting' by Jane Reid

The wind was chill but the sun was warm on the mountain top. He had flown across two ranges to meet her, but she was worth it. She was gorgeous. Her golden scales glittered iridescent in the sunlight. Her eyes were bottomless whirlpools of emotion. Her conversation showed intelligence, education and commendable acquisition. 

This time, Dragonmatch.com had got it right.

He knew he was smoking – just couldn’t help it. Slowly, gently, he twined his tail around hers. She emitted little puffs of steam. He suddenly felt like a geyser about to erupt.

“My cave or yours?” she murmured.
