'Thinker' by Rebecca Innes

Like an irritating sibling she just keeps on going. The more I try to shut her up or shut her out, the more she kicks up a fuss. She annoys me, berates me, confuses me, forces me to relive the embarrassing and over-analyse the insignificant. I get so tired sometimes. I just get so utterly exhausted of always having to listen. I want to give her an off switch. But then I’d be dead.
