'Ditched' by Sonya Oldwin

'Close your eyes so I can kiss you.'
He was cute, yes, but my mother has taught me a few things. Don't kiss anyone you've only know for three minutes was one of them.
Cute guy shrugged, turned around and chatted up another girl further down the bar. I saw them leave together not long afterwards.
So far, so Saturday night, I know. And I forgot all about it, until now. It's other girl, staring at me from the cover of the evening paper. She went missing after she left the club on Saturday. They found her. Dead in a ditch.
I wonder what else my mother told me that might save my life.

  1. This is really well written. The end is very eerie. Love it!
