'New Girl' by Rachel Stanley

A grey morning dawns.  Patches of color  here and there make an attempt at cheerfulness, but fall short. A single red rose is laid before the girl next to me. She’s been here awhile.  I’m the new one now, but even so, I go unnoticed.  I always wondered what it would be like for someone to love me like the man with the rose still loves her.

I guess now I’ll never know.

  1. This is beautiful. It reminds me of Guns and Roses' November Rain video.
